Huge Underground Blast Kills L.A. Firefighter Injures Others - Los Angeles

An explosion rocked the Westchester area today, killing a Los Angeles firefighter and critically injuring another.

The firefighters were called to Sepulveda and La Tijera boulevards at 1:57 p.m. after a report of smoke from a possible fire. After they arrived, there was a larger explosion that sent several manhole covers flying, said Ron Myers, spokesman for the Los Angeles Fire Department. (more…)

Man Blows Himself Up Near Public Tram - Croatia

At around 11.55pm the police received a tip off that an explosion occurred near Zagreb’s Savski Most on Savska Street. When they arrived at the scene, they found a body of an unidentified man – said the head of the police sector for borders Mato Markovic, at the scene of the event.

As we found out at the scene, a man died as a result of an explosion, but it is not known if it was suicide or an accident. (more…)

Iraqi Currency and Bomb Discovered In Stolen Car - New Mexico

The FBI is now involved in the theft of a car after it was found in Los Lunas with an explosive device and Iraqi currency inside.FBI agents say that they have ruled out terrorism.

The car was reported stolen last week. After the theft, the car’s owner was fueling his motorcycle when he spotted his stolen car. (more…)
